Having your own business is a lot of work, depending on what you hope to achieve with it. My goal with becoming an Avon Representative has changed over the years. I first signed up as I felt God leading me to do so. I can't tell you why, it just was very apparent to me to do so.
I had a team for a little while and then lost it. The downline rules with Avon have since changed. Now, once you have someone sign up under you, they are yours forever. You can't 'lose' them for lack of sales or activity. Becoming a representative is super easy too. When I signed up back in the day, I filled out a contract and paid 10 bucks. Now, its all done online. You simply go to startavon.com, choose the starter kit you want ( I recommend the $25.00 one- I can help you out with anything else you need) and then make sure you enter my code (LaDonnaL) and boom.. your done. Once you receive your kit in the mail, I receive a notice you are on my team and then we connect. I can have teammates local and far away. With the invent of Skype and Zoom. connecting is super easy.
Today, I keep my business going because I want to grow it into something I can thrive on. BUT! The heart of the matter is I want to help others. I get more excited over others success then you can imagine. This is odd for most- most people like to see themselves succeed. I do, of course, but I find true happiness and joy in seeing others move forward. My day job is in social work and nothing hits me in the feels more then when a client is offered a job or gets into housing or something else life changing. I do a little jig!!
So, now your signed up- now what? How do you promote your business? There are many ways and I will cover one of my newest favorites here today. More blogs on promotion to come, promise! Social Media is a huge platform and online parties are a super easy way to share your business. On Facebook, there is a group called Online Parties with Jamie and it is an online party community run by Jamie. She hosts parties every weekend and for a fee, vendors can sign up to promote in them. You get posting times to put up posts on products, run games and interact with other vendors. I have so much fun doing these and she is SUPER organized and takes care of everyone. We can go into more detail when you are ready to try it yourself!!
