Super quick blog today.  Avon has announced that they are putting together product bundles of daily care products to send to those in need in Texas.  The bundles are at a $10.00 donation price and Avon will cover the cost of shipping.

Working your business- online parties

Having your own business is a lot of work, depending on what you hope to achieve with it.  My goal with becoming an Avon Representative has changed over the years. I first signed up as I felt God leading me to do so. I can't tell you why, it just was very apparent to me to do so.

I had a team for a little while and then lost it.  The downline rules with Avon have since changed. Now, once you have someone sign up under you, they are yours forever. You can't 'lose' them for lack of sales or activity.  Becoming a representative is super easy too.  When I signed up back in the day, I filled out a contract and paid 10 bucks.  Now, its all done online.  You simply go to startavon.com, choose the starter kit you want ( I recommend the $25.00 one- I can help you out with anything else you need) and then make sure you enter my code (LaDonnaL) and boom.. your done. Once you receive your kit in the mail, I receive a notice you are on my team and then we connect. I can have teammates local and far away. With the invent of Skype and Zoom. connecting is super easy.

Today, I keep my business going because I want to grow it into something I can thrive on. BUT! The heart of the matter is I want to help others. I get more excited over others success then you can imagine. This is odd for most- most people like to see themselves succeed. I do, of course, but I find true happiness and joy in seeing others move forward. My day job is in social work and nothing hits me in the feels more then when a client is offered a job or gets into housing or something else life changing. I do a little jig!!

So,  now your signed up- now what? How do you promote your business?  There are many ways and I will cover one of my newest favorites here today. More blogs on promotion to come, promise! Social Media is a huge platform and online parties are a super easy way to share your business. On Facebook, there is a group called Online Parties with Jamie and it is an online party community run by Jamie.  She hosts parties every weekend and for a fee, vendors can sign up to promote in them. You get posting times to put up posts on products, run games and interact with other vendors. I have so much fun doing these and she is SUPER organized and takes care of everyone.  We can go into more detail when you are ready to try it yourself!!

Heat Wave Sale

We are having a heat wave in the PNW and it is putting everything on a standstill. It is like everyone is in slow motion because the heat is slowing us all down.

I grew up in Southern California and high heat was a normal thing. I'm talking Christmas mornings were warm sort of heat. We had the hot winds every fall, along with all the wild fires. It was so nice to move up North and escape all of that- I never liked the heat and I never really liked the beach. I still crave cold days and gray skies which makes living here ideal.

Along with heat, though, comes bugs.  Mosquitoes to be exact and if you are having the same problem, Avon has the solution.  I have never known mosquito bites until I moved up here. Many folks get them in SoCal but I just was lucky until I moved here. Now, I can't go outside in the dusk without having my skin chewed up.  My go to is the Bug Guard towelettes. They are easy to use and I can control where the repellent is going versus the spray.

AND.. they are on sale buy one, get one free!! Mix and match with a Bug Guard Spray if you want. My camping friends love these as they are much easier to use on their wiggling kiddos.
